Ludgate Cottage

Ludgate Cottage is a semi-detached cottage below Haytor on Dartmoor's southeastern edge, in the hamlet of Haytor Vale near Haytor. Steps lead to the front door and through a hall to two ground-floor bedrooms and a bathroom, with a sitting room and kitchen upstairs. The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor and oak-floored: a king-size double and a twin, sharing a bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC and basin. Upstairs, an airy sitting room with exposed beams sits alongside a kitchen fitted in oak and black granite with its own dining area.

The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, dishwasher and microwave, and central heating runs on electric fires with fuel and power included in the rent. A TV and WiFi cover evenings in, and a highchair is available on request, with bike storage also available on request.

Haytor Vale is a hamlet of white cottages beside the old coaching inn, The Rock, one mile from the market town of Bovey Tracey. Widecombe-in-the-Moor is also within reach for eateries and places to explore, and Exeter is around 21 miles away, with Plymouth about 32 miles.

A grassy garden opposite the cottage faces south and has a picnic table for meals outside. Off-road parking is provided for two cars. Bookings run to a Saturday changeover and only full-week holiday bookings are accepted; no pets are allowed and the property is no smoking. Short breaks are not available; only full-week bookings are accepted.
