Haytor Vale Lodge

This single-storey lodge sits in a hamlet at the base of Haytor, within walking distance of a pub and tearoom. Sleeping four, it suits couples or small families wanting everything on one level, with wooden floorboards and antique furniture throughout the open-plan lounge and diner.

The two bedrooms sit at one end of the property, comprising a king-size room and a twin room, and share a Jack-and-Jill en-suite shower room with WC. A second shower room with WC is located off the main hallway. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment, while a separate utility room houses the washer/dryer and a table-top freezer.

Outside, a patio area leads to an enclosed garden and lawn, suitable for children and dogs alike, with an outdoor Belfast sink for rinsing boots or paws after a walk. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and internet access is available. A highchair and travel cot can be supplied on request.

Two dogs are welcome by arrangement, with additional charges applying for extra dogs. A secure dog walking field is available within two miles, though booking and a fee are required. The property is decorated for Christmas during the festive season, and guests should note arrival from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
