Wottonsbury

Wottonsbury is a semi-detached cottage on the outskirts of Ilsington, a mile from Haytor on Dartmoor. The front door is reached down about 17 gentle garden steps built into the hillside, which won't suit anyone with mobility issues. Inside, it sleeps 4 across two bedrooms with far-reaching views of the surrounding hills.

A utility area with a stable door greets you at the entrance, leading to a sitting room and a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and coffee machine, plus a ground-floor WC. Upstairs, a king-size bedroom sits alongside a twin that converts to a super-king double on request, sharing a bathroom with a bath, hand-held shower and a separate walk-in shower. Central heating and included fuel and power keep the cottage comfortable year-round.

TV and WiFi cover evenings in, and a travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests staying over. Outside, a front garden has furniture for sitting out, and the rear garden has multiple patios, a lawn, furniture and a fire pit for evenings under the stars.

Wottonsbury takes one well-behaved dog. Parking covers 2 cars, the village shop is 0.6 miles away and the pub 0.5 miles, so neither is far to walk. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the cottage.
