Shaldon

Shaldon sits around a central bowling green and village green, and the character of a stay here is shaped by that compact, walkable setting. Compass Cottage Shaldon is a two-bedroom terraced cottage that looks directly onto the green, sleeping four across two double bedrooms reached by a steep traditional staircase. The ground floor holds a sitting room with sofas, armchairs, flat-screen TV and a dining table for four, alongside a kitchen fitted with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a Bluetooth speaker. Upstairs, a single bathroom has a bath with shower over and WC. A small front patio with table and chairs fronts the green, and up to two dogs are welcome.

Parking at Compass Cottage relies on unrestricted on-street spaces around the green or nearby public car parks, so visitors travelling by car should plan accordingly. Bed linen and bath towels are included, though beach towels are not provided. The steep staircase and the owners’ own guidance mean the property is not suitable for children under two.
