Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage sits in Bishopsteignton, a village between Teignmouth and Kingsteignton on the Teign estuary, near Shaldon. Steep steps lead up to the cottage and continue through the garden, so it's worth planning around if anyone in the group has limited mobility. It sleeps 6 across three bedrooms with views over the River Teign and surrounding countryside.

The open-plan living space combines a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with an electric double oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and wine fridge, plus a TV and WiFi. A snug with an electric flame-effect stove offers a second place to sit, and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC serves all three bedrooms: a king-size, a double and a twin.

Outside, a private front terrace has furniture for outdoor meals with views over the estuary, and there's an enclosed rear courtyard plus a summer house. Rose Cottage welcomes two well-behaved pets.

Roadside parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with extra parking in a nearby car park. Gas central heating covers the cottage, with fuel and power included in the rent. The shop is 0.2 miles away, the pub 0.1 miles and the river 0.5 miles. Smoking is not permitted, and bookings need a minimum of 3 nights.
