Beach Hut 5

Beach Hut 5 is a compact holiday hut tucked into a row of neighbouring huts in Shaldon, a Regency village on the Teign estuary. An enclosed rear patio with terrace and furniture has ladder access leading straight down onto the beach, and the open-plan living space downstairs holds the kitchen, dining and sitting areas.

The king-size bedroom is on a mezzanine level reached by a ladder rather than stairs, so the hut does not accept children under 10. A shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC sits on the ground floor. Underfloor heating runs throughout the hut, and the kitchen has a combi microwave/oven, induction hob, fridge, kettle and toaster for simple self-catering.

A Smart TV and WiFi cover evenings in, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. The large windows in the sitting area and the rear patio both make the most of the beach views the hut looks out over, and the patio is a spot for al fresco meals when the weather allows.

A designated parking place is provided for 1 car, and the shop and pub are both around 0.1 miles away. Beach Hut 5 does not accept pets and is no smoking throughout, and the ladder to the bedroom is worth planning around if anyone in your group has limited mobility or young children under 10.
