The Granary (Malborough)

The Granary is a barn conversion at South Down Farm, a quiet, secluded spot a 2 to 3 minute drive from Malborough village and its pubs, shop and post office. Salcombe and Kingsbridge are three and five miles away respectively. The property sleeps 5 across three first-floor bedrooms: a double, a twin and a single.

The living room looks over the central courtyard to the countryside beyond, with a lounge area, dining table and chairs, and a Smart TV with Netflix, a DVD player and a collection of games and jigsaws, well suited to keeping children and adults entertained. A well-sized fitted kitchen sits off the living room, with a separate utility area for the washer/dryer and a microwave, oven, hob and dishwasher besides.

Of the two bathrooms, one is a ground-floor bathroom with bath and electric shower over, and the other is a first-floor shower room with a large cubicle. Baby-friendly extras include a cot, a highchair and a stairgate. Outside, a private paved terrace at the front of the property, not fully enclosed, has a patio table, chairs and a barbecue, and there is a communal garden and play area nearby.

Parking is provided for 2 cars at the front of the property, plus visitor parking using a permit kept in the property. One well-behaved pet is welcome, and a returnable bond applies. A landline telephone is available for local and incoming calls, and the property is strictly no smoking.
