Rose Thatch

Rose Thatch is a Grade II-listed, early 17th-century thatched cottage in Malborough. It sleeps 5 across three bedrooms, reached by steep, winding stairs typical of the cottage's age, with low beams and doorways throughout.

The sitting room has a woodburning stove with a starter pack provided, and a kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a TV with a Firestick, DVD player and WiFi, which is shared with the End Cottage next door, plus electric heating.

The king-size bedroom has its own en-suite cloakroom with a basin and WC, and there is a twin and a single room. A ground-floor bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and underfloor heating serves the rest of the cottage. A travel cot and highchair are available.

A raised rear terrace has a table and chairs, overlooking a shared area, and a further private garden with a barbecue and seating sits about 30 metres away along a grass path. Off-road parking for one car is reached via a narrow lane and a 2-metre gateway, so care is needed turning in, with further parking on nearby roads and in the free village car park a couple of minutes' walk away.

No pets are allowed and the cottage is strictly no smoking. The shop and pub are both about 0.1 miles away, and the beach is 2 miles, with Salcombe's beaches and Kingsbridge's shops a short drive further on.
