Idle Hour

Idle Hour sits on a small site between Westward Ho! and Northam, with private access onto Northam Burrows Country Park directly from the property. Distant sea views stretch across the burrows from the upstairs living space, and the house sleeps four across two ground-floor bedrooms.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor, one king-size and one twin, each with its own en-suite shower room and WC. The master bedroom opens directly onto a patio furnished with a table and chairs and a private hot tub. Upstairs, carpeted stairs lead to an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with two sofas, a smart TV with sound bar, and doors out to a first-floor balcony also fitted with outdoor furniture.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and a welcome pack is provided on arrival. Families travelling with young children will find a travel cot and highchair included. The enclosed patio with its hot tub and the separate first-floor balcony give two distinct outdoor spots to sit, both furnished. Guests should bring their own beach towels.

Private parking is available for two cars, with an EV charging point included on site. One dog is permitted, though additional charges may apply. Check-in runs from 4pm, with departure required by 10am. The beach is around half a mile away, with a pub and shop roughly a mile from the house, useful for anyone not wanting to rely entirely on the kitchen during their stay.
