1 The Quay

1 The Quay sits beside the water's edge at the end of a cobbled lane in Lympstone, with views across the water to Powderham Castle and Starcross. The cottage is arranged over three floors, with a ground-floor sitting room warmed by a wood burning stove, stepping up into a dining room and a small, well-equipped kitchen.

Steep stairs lead up, under a low door lintel, to a first-floor king-size double bedroom with those water views, then up again to an attic twin bedroom under the eaves with its own seating area, which can convert to a super king-size double. The bathroom has a bath, shower over, basin and WC, with a separate WC on the ground floor.

The kitchen has a microwave, fridge with a small freezer compartment and a washing machine, and the sitting room has a Smart TV with DVD and WiFi. Central heating runs alongside the wood burning stove, with fuel and power included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request, and a small paved, walled courtyard garden gives space for outdoor dining.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, though not on the beds or furniture, and cats are not accepted. Parking is available in a public car park nearby. Smoking is not permitted, and a returnable bond applies. Bookings longer than a week need to go through the office directly.
