The Coach House

The Coach House is a converted Edwardian coach house standing in the grounds of a larger country house near Lympstone, with views across the Exe estuary. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, a kingsize and a twin, sharing a family bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower and WC. The twin room is best suited to two children or one adult.

Upstairs holds both bedrooms and the bathroom, while downstairs has an open-plan living room with a wood-burning stove, a dining area and a compact fitted kitchen. The kitchen has an electric induction hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a 50/50 fridge-freezer, and a TV, DVD player and WiFi cover evenings in.

Guests get shared use of the owners' 10m indoor swimming pool in a separate outbuilding, with exclusive use possible by prior arrangement between Easter and New Year; guests bring their own pool towels. A paved patio has furniture and a barbecue, and a travel cot and highchair are provided.

Off-road parking is available, and no pets are allowed. Stays require a minimum of 4 nights, and the shop and pub are both around a mile away. The Coach House looks out over the Exe estuary, with walking, cycling and sailing on the doorstep, and the Exeter to Exmouth cycle route passes through the village.
