Accommodation in this part of North Devon takes a particular form: self-contained forest lodges set among the trees of Hartland Forest, with coarse fishing available on two onsite lakes and designated picnic areas around the water. Hunters Moon Hartland Forest sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms, one double and one twin, in a single-storey layout with a walk-in shower room, a well-equipped kitchen including a Lavazza coffee machine and dishwasher, and a Smart TV in the lounge. An electric wall-mounted fire and a selection of games complete the indoor picture.

Outside, a gated decked balcony wraps around the side of the lodge and looks out into the woodland. Two dogs are welcome, and parking is available a 200-metre walk from the lodge itself. Guests also receive passes for discounted use of nearby Penstowe Manor Leisure Centre, adding a practical option alongside the forest trails.
