Westland

Westland is a substantial three-storey semi-detached house on the lower end of Devon Road, a few minutes' walk from the centre of Salcombe and its waterfront, with glimpses of the estuary from some of the upper areas. An entrance lobby offers space for bags, coats and beach equipment, leading into a well-equipped kitchen/dining area with a central island, gas hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, and sliding glass doors onto a stone paved terrace with table, seating and a barbecue.

The house sleeps 7 across three bedrooms: two upstairs doubles with king-size beds, one with a portable TV, and a second-floor loft conversion with three single beds, one set into a recess. A spacious first-floor family bathroom has a panelled bath, shower attachment, wash-hand basin and WC, and a ground-floor shower room adds a fully tiled shower, basin and separate WC.

A tiled dining area seats six at a large pine table, alongside a double sofa, while the lounge has a widescreen TV, DVD and Playstation 2. A small utility room holds a sink and washing machine, and a large stone paved terrace at the front has table and chairs for outdoor meals.

Parking for one to two cars is available in the garage or forecourt, though the garage height clearance is around 5'9". Two dogs are welcome for a charge per pet per week or short stay. WiFi is available, bed linen and towels are provided, and the house is strictly no smoking.
