Wedgwood

Wedgwood is a large, semi-detached house arranged over three floors, a 5-10 minute walk from Salcombe's waterfront, shops and restaurants, with views of the main anchorage from the upper floors. From the hallway, a sitting room with an open fireplace, TV and CD/radio leads through to a well-fitted kitchen with a range, double oven, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee maker, plus a separate utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

A glazed dining area seats eight and leads to a second lounge with a bay window, widescreen TV, DVD and Nintendo Wii. The house sleeps 6 across three main bedrooms: a first-floor double with a super king-size bed, a first-floor twin with two wood-framed single beds, and a second-floor master reached by open wooden stairs, with a king-size bed and a slipper bath with hand-held shower. A fourth bedroom on the first floor, with bunk beds, is for children only and available on request at no extra charge.

A family shower room and a separate WC serve the first floor. Outside, a private terrace has a table and chairs plus a small area of sloping lawn. WiFi is available, and bed linen and bath towels are supplied, though guests need to bring their own beach towels.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are permitted, restricted to the ground floor; the garden isn't fully enclosed, so dogs may be able to escape. The house is strictly no smoking, and guests are asked to clean the barbecue after every use.
