Tuckers Cottage

Tuckers Cottage is a three-bedroom fisherman's cottage in Appledore, around 100 metres from the Quay, sleeping up to five guests across two king-size rooms and a single bedroom, all on the first floor. The single room doubles as a work-from-home space with an ergonomic chair, desk and monitor. A ground-floor shower room with WC handles daytime use, while the first-floor family bathroom has a shower over the bath, bidet and WC.

The ground-floor lounge-diner has two sofas arranged around a wood burner set into a stone fireplace, with the first basket of logs provided. A smart TV is available for quieter evenings in. The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob, electric oven, slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine, and a separate utility room houses the washing machine.

Off the kitchen, a private enclosed courtyard with bistro-style table and chairs provides a sheltered spot for morning coffee or an al fresco meal. There is no private parking; on-street parking surrounds the property subject to availability, and several paid car parks are nearby. No dogs are permitted.

Pubs and shops are within 50 metres of the cottage. A summer foot ferry crosses to Instow on the opposite bank of the estuary, and the Tarka Trail and South West Coast Path are both accessible from the area. The nearest beach is approximately two miles away.
