Annie's Cottage - Appledore

Annie's Cottage sits in the heart of Appledore, a fishing village on the North Devon coast, just minutes from the harbour. The cobbled streets nearby are lined with craft shops, galleries, cafes and pubs, and the harbour is a popular spot for crabbing or watching the estuary views across to Instow. A small passenger ferry crosses to Instow at certain times of year.

All three bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size double, a 4' single and a twin, sleeping five guests in total. Downstairs there is a shower room with WC; upstairs the family bathroom has a shower over the bath and its own WC. The lounge has a wood burner with the first basket of logs included, alongside a Smart TV. The kitchen and dining area comes equipped with an electric cooker with gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, Krups coffee machine, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

French doors from the lounge open into an enclosed cobbled courtyard with patio furniture and a charcoal BBQ, well suited to alfresco meals. There is no dedicated parking at the cottage; on-street parking is the first option, or a weekly long-stay ticket for the public car park around 300 metres away costs approximately £16. A pub and restaurant are 20 metres from the door and a shop is around 500 metres away.

Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Westward Ho! is 2 miles away via the South West Coast Path, with its long sandy beach 2.5 miles from the cottage. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
