Mariners Cottage

Mariners Cottage sits alongside the Rivers Taw and Torridge in Appledore, with estuary views from the property. A kitchen/diner opens through patio doors onto the garden, and the sitting room has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings and a sofa and armchair for taking in the views.

The cottage has three bedrooms: a king-size double on the ground floor, plus a super king-size and a twin upstairs, sharing a first-floor shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. There's also a separate ground-floor WC and basin. The property sleeps 5, though it is best suited to no more than 4 adults.

The kitchen has an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and the sitting room has a Smart TV and a second TV upstairs, plus WiFi. Gas central heating runs throughout, with fuel for the woodburner provided in winter only, and fuel and power are included in the rent.

Outside, the enclosed, seaward-facing garden has furniture for outdoor meals. A public car park space for 1 car is provided nearby, with a permit supplied. No pets are allowed and the property is no smoking, and stag, hen and similar parties are not accepted. Given a walled 20ft drop at the end of the garden onto the foreshore, the owners recommend no children under 12.
