Torrings Barn

Torrings Barn is a small barn conversion next to the owner's house in a farming hamlet within a mile of Aveton Gifford. Bright inside with wood floors and relaxing colours, it sleeps 4 across two bedrooms: a king-size double and a bunk room, sharing one shower room with a WC and basin.

Steps lead up to the sitting room, which has a dining area and a TV with DVD, and an efficient kitchen fitted with a fridge and microwave. Heating is by electric panel heaters. Outside, a sunny terrace has a table and chairs for meals outdoors, and there's a private parking area with space to store canoes or kayaks for paddling on the River Avon.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome for an extra charge per dog. The property draws its water from a private supply that is tested regularly, and there's no smoking throughout.

Off-road parking is provided for three cars, and WiFi, fuel and power are included in the rent. The pub is under a mile away, and the River Avon and the coast at Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea are both within reach for paddling and walking.

Aveton Gifford has a village shop and a pub on the edge of the estuary. Kingsbridge, about five miles away, has a wider range of shops and places to eat, and the South West Coast Path runs along the coast nearby with views over Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea.
