Walnut Major

Walnut Major is a reverse-level end-terrace cottage in Aveton Gifford, a village beside the River Avon. The first floor holds an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with large windows over the countryside and a woodburning stove, plus access to a patio for warmer evenings. The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms.

The two bedrooms are a double and a ground-floor twin, which can also be made up as a king-size on request; a ground-floor bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC serves the whole cottage.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a kettle, toaster, air fryer and microwave, and the sitting room has a TV, DVD player and WiFi. Heating is electric, with fuel and power included in the rent, though the stove's fuel allowance covers one bag of logs only. A travel cot and highchair are available.

An enclosed side terrace with furniture gives an outdoor spot away from the road. Roadside parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a free car park a short walk away. Walnut Major welcomes one well-behaved pet. The village shop is 0.2 miles away, the pub and the River Avon 0.1 miles, and the nearest beach 4.8 miles. Smoking is not permitted inside.
