The Mill House - Burton Farmhouse

The Mill House forms part of Burton Farmhouse, a converted property set on a working farm near Galmpton, close to Hope Cove. It sleeps eight, with a trundle bed available on request for a ninth guest in the bunk room, and is arranged over a reverse-level layout with the main living space upstairs.

Downstairs, the hallway leads to a king-size master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a bunk room for two children with an additional trundle bed if needed, a twin room with zip-and-link beds that can be made up as a super-king on request, and a further double bedroom with its own en-suite. A family bathroom serves the remaining rooms, and a washing machine is tucked into a cupboard under the stairs. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen and living room runs the length of the building beneath high, pitched ceilings and exposed beams. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, an AGA available in winter, a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, larder fridge, separate freezer and an instant boiling water tap. The living area has a wood burner with a welcome pack of logs provided, comfortable seating, a Smart TV, DVD player and PlayStation console, and every bedroom also has its own Smart TV.

Outside, guests share a patio with outdoor seating, along with a shared barbecue area with a pizza oven a short walk away, and a shared play area with table tennis available in summer. As the property sits on a working farm, children need to be supervised outdoors. Off-road parking is provided for up to four cars, and internet access is available.

No dogs are permitted at this property. A travel cot and highchair can be provided for younger visitors, and the property can also be booked together with a neighbouring cottage sleeping a further nine guests for larger group stays. Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am.
