Hope Valley House

Hope Valley House is a detached four-bedroom cottage sleeping eight, set in large enclosed gardens with countryside and coastal views. All four bedrooms are on the first floor: three have king-size beds and one is a twin, whose zip-and-link beds can be converted to a super-king on request. Each room has its own en-suite; two are shower rooms, the master bedroom has a full bathroom with a bath and a separate shower, and the fourth room has an en-suite with a shower over the bath.

The ground floor centres on a generous open-plan kitchen and dining room fitted with a gas hob, electric range-style cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. Note that the Aga is a feature only and not available for cooking. A farmhouse-style table and breakfast bar seat the whole group, and the adjoining utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, handy after beach visits. A snug and a main lounge with a working open fire and Smart TV provide two separate sitting areas, while a sunroom offers a quieter spot to take in the views or host more formal dining.

Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Private parking is provided for four cars. Up to four dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.

Hope Cove is roughly 1.5 miles away, with two beaches suited to swimming, rockpool exploring and picnicking, and the South West Coast Path accessible from the village in both directions. A shop and pub are within the same distance. Salcombe, around 3 miles away, has estuary water sports and seafood restaurants.
