4 Coastguards Cottage

4 Coastguards Cottage is a big house converted from two coastguards' cottages, set in a row of five in the small village of Inner Hope, a third of a mile from Hope Cove. Steps lead up to the front door and into a big kitchen with a dining table for the whole household, or through to a sitting room with a traditional wood burning stove.

Four bedrooms, two king-size and two twin, share a family bathroom upstairs and a shower room on the ground floor, sleeping 8 in total. Two highchairs and a stairgate are provided, along with a cot on request, making the house workable for younger children too.

Outside there is space front and back: a safely enclosed garden at the front with a lawn, a barbecue and outdoor furniture on the patio, and an enclosed courtyard at the back for storing surf and beach gear after a day on the sand. Two beaches lie within 200 yards of the house.

Parking for one car is provided, and a washing machine and dishwasher are fitted in the kitchen alongside WiFi and a DVD player throughout. No pets are allowed and no smoking is permitted, and short breaks must run to a minimum of three nights. The shop and pub are both under a tenth of a mile away, and the coast path runs right past the village.
