The Hare Warren

The Hare Warren is a studio-style lodge set on a 20-acre shared estate near Exeter, suited to two guests sharing one double bed. Rather than a separate bedroom, the double sits within a single open-plan space that also serves as lounge, kitchen and dining area, with large patio doors bringing in views over the surrounding countryside on one side of the lodge.

The kitchen area is compact, fitted with an electric hob, microwave and fridge, suited to light meals rather than full cooking. A fold-out bistro table can be used indoors, or guests can dine outside on the private patio, which is furnished with outdoor seating. An adjoining shower room with WC completes the accommodation, and a welcome pack is provided on arrival.

Outside, guests have shared access to the wider grounds, including a pond and orchard reached via mown pathways through the estate. There is private off-road parking for one car, and internet access is available. A shop lies around a mile away and a pub roughly 500 metres from the lodge, while the coast is some 8 miles distant, with Exmouth Beach and its rock pools around 8.5 miles off. The South West Coast Path can be picked up down at the shore, and Exeter itself is within easy reach for a day among its shops and restaurants, while Dartmoor lies about 19 miles away.

This lodge is not suitable for children, and dogs are not permitted. CCTV covers the main entrance, driveway, gravel car park and agricultural barns on site. Check-in runs from 3pm, with departure required by 10am.
