Set within a detached country house on the outskirts of Exeter, this first-floor apartment is arranged for two guests and one dog. A stairlift alongside the staircase provides an alternative route up to the private quarters, where a cream kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. The lounge-diner adjoins it, with plump sofas, a Smart TV and a coal-effect electric fire for cooler evenings.

The bedroom holds a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be reconfigured as a twin if you arrange this at the time of booking. The shower room, which includes a WC, is reached from the hallway rather than the bedroom itself.

Outside, a private enclosed lawned garden has outdoor furniture, a charcoal BBQ and a hot tub with robes and towels provided. Two off-road parking spaces sit alongside the property, and a pub is roughly 500 metres away with a shop within a mile.

The city centre is 5.5 miles, making it straightforward to reach the cathedral quarter, independent shops and the range of restaurants the city holds. Exmouth is around 7.5 miles for a coastal day out, with Sandy Bay a little further along at 9 miles. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00; one dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply.
