The Fox Den

The Fox Den is one of three contemporary pods set in meadowland in Mid and East Devon, offering a compact retreat for two. This studio-style space combines sleeping, cooking and living areas into a single elegant room, with a smart kitchenette equipped with an electric hob, microwave and fridge for preparing light meals.

The accommodation centres on a double bed positioned in one corner, with a wet room containing a shower and WC completing the layout. A fold-out table inside provides a spot for meals, while a private patio with outdoor furniture offers an alternative setting for dining outdoors when weather allows. Internet access is available throughout the stay.

Beyond the pod itself, guests can explore shared grounds where mown paths lead through the surrounding meadowland to a pond and orchard, ideal for a quiet walk or picnic. Private off-road parking is provided for one car, and a welcome pack and towels are included. A pub or restaurant lies around 500 metres away, with a shop roughly a mile from the property, useful for those who prefer not to drive for every meal or essential.

This base sits within reach of both coast and countryside, with Exeter accessible by bus for a day of shopping or exploring the city. Please note this property does not accept children or dogs, making it best suited to couples or solo travellers seeking an adult-only escape. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 10am.
