The Cider Barn

The Cider Barn is a converted cider barn in the Avon Valley near Loddiswell, within reach of Kingsbridge. It's reverse-level accommodation across the ground and lower ground floors, sleeping 8 across four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The ground floor holds an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with a wood-burning stove, plus a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. Down on the lower ground floor are a double bedroom with its own adjacent shower room, a twin with an en-suite shower, WC and separate basin, and a second twin with an en-suite bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, a second fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, kept in an external utility room, along with a TV with FreeSat and WiFi. Oil central heating and the wood-burning stove cover the barn, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent. A highchair, cot and a fixed stairgate are available.

Outside is a patio with a bench and a furnished courtyard on the lower ground floor level. Off-road parking takes four cars. One small to medium, well-behaved dog is welcome, and must be supervised at all times and not left alone in the property; puppies aren't accepted. Changeovers are on a Friday, with a minimum stay of 4 nights outside summer and school holiday weeks, when only full-week bookings apply, and the shop and pub are 2 miles away. Stag, hen and similar parties are not accepted. This property may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility, and mobile reception can be patchy given the setting.
