Rosemary Cottage

Rosemary Cottage stands in the hamlet of Goveton, within a development of 19th century listed buildings known as Buckland Court. It is nearer Kingsbridge than any other town on the map, though the village itself is a quiet spot in a sheltered valley. A light, spacious hallway with exposed beams and stripped flooring runs through the ground floor.

The sitting room has a gas fire and comfortable sofas, with French doors opening onto a private garden laid to lawn, with mature borders, a table and chairs. Across the hall, the kitchen has dark worktops and a country-style table that seats six for meals together. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a king-size, a double and a twin, sharing one bathroom with a rain-head shower, plus a ground-floor cloakroom.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, oven, four-ring electric hob, dishwasher and microwave, and gas central heating runs throughout. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Parking is provided for two cars, and a rear garden with furniture gives outdoor space away from the communal lawns at the front.

Rosemary Cottage does not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted. Mobile phone reception is limited in this part of the South Hams, so guests planning to rely on a signal should note it before booking.
