The Chota House

The Chota House is a detached colonial-style house in a quiet residential part of Salcombe, a few minutes' walk from the town's shops, restaurants and quays. It sits in its own south-facing grounds and sleeps six across three en-suite bedrooms, all on the first floor.

The double bedroom has an en-suite bath, wash-hand basin and w.c., and the two twin rooms each have their own en-suite shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and w.c. On the ground floor, a snug with an L-shaped sofa bed offers an alternative sleeping option on request, as long as the total number of guests in the house does not exceed six, and there's an additional shower room, w.c. and heated towel rail nearby.

The open-plan reception room has exposed wooden beams, terracotta floor tiling and a feature fireplace, and the kitchen-diner is large enough for family gatherings, with a utility room just off it. A log burner, gas central heating, a dishwasher and a washing machine keep the house comfortable through the seasons, and Georgian doors open onto a decked veranda with an outside table. Sky TV and wifi are available throughout.

Outside, a decked terrace and a vine-covered pergola at the front of the house have garden furniture and a mix of trees and shrubs. Parking for up to two cars and a boat trailer is provided. The Chota House does not accept pets, and the property is strictly no smoking.
