Scenic Views

Scenic Views is a lodge set over two floors in High Bickington, in the North Devon countryside known as Tarka country. A west-facing private balcony upstairs is the spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink, and the lodge sleeps 4 across two king-size bedrooms.

Both bedrooms have their own TV, and the master benefits from an en-suite walk-in shower with 4 jets, basin and WC. A separate ground-floor bathroom serves the rest of the lodge, with a wider-than-normal bath, shower over, easy-reach controls, basin and WC.

The ground-floor kitchen/diner has its own TV, and the first-floor sitting room holds two recliner settees and a further TV for evenings in. The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob, two ovens including an air fryer and a halogen air fryer, a large wine cooler, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine, alongside gas central heating and WiFi across four TVs in total.

The balcony comes furnished for sitting out in the afternoon sun and taking in the surrounding countryside. No pets are allowed and the lodge is no smoking. Babies in arms are welcome, but there's no booking for children under the age of 12. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars, and a highchair and travel cot are available on request. The nearest shop is 1.1 miles and the pub 0.5 miles away.
