Little Silver Leaf

Little Silver Leaf is a green-painted shepherd's hut perched above an apple orchard in High Bickington, reached by three steps up to a private, elevated spot with only sheep in the neighbouring field for company. The studio sleeps 2 in a king-size bed, and a raised garden and patio give views across the valley below.

Inside, the open-plan living area holds the king-size bed, a seating area with a foldaway dining table, and a wood-burning stove alongside electric under-floor heating. The kitchen has a Belling electric cooker and hob, a Smeg fridge, a Nespresso machine, a Smart TV and an Amazon Echo, and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC completes the hut. Heating, power and a supply of logs are included in the rent, along with bed linen, towels and bathrobes; extra logs can be bought on site.

Outside, the private lawned garden and patio come with a hot tub, a chiminea that doubles as a barbecue, and a loveseat with table and chairs, plus shared communal grounds and seating areas elsewhere on site. Off-road parking is in a shared carpark with a Tesla charging point that also gives a type 2 connection; fees apply and are arranged directly with the owners. A golf buggy is available for getting around the site.

Little Silver Leaf does not accept children or infants, and no pets are allowed. Smoking is not permitted, and a housekeeping bond is required at booking. The shop and pub are 1.7 miles away, and the three steps up to the hut make it unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.
