Rosevine

Rosevine is a detached, Grade II listed house in the South Hams village of Slapton, inland from Slapton Ley nature reserve and under a mile from Slapton Sands beach. Torcross is 2.2 miles away and Kingsbridge 7.5 miles, and a shop and pub are 0.2 miles from the door. The house sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

One king-size bedroom has its own en-suite shower room; a second king-size, a double and a twin share a first-floor bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower, plus a separate first-floor cloakroom with basin and WC. Each bedroom has wardrobes and drawers for storing luggage.

Downstairs, two sitting rooms each have a woodburning stove, one opening onto the garden and the other into a conservatory. The kitchen is fitted with an Aga alongside an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and the dining room table seats the whole group for meals. Oil central heating runs throughout the house, with underfloor heating in the kitchen, and a TV and WiFi cover the evenings in.

Outside, a large enclosed lawned garden and patio area has furniture for sitting out, and off-road parking is provided for one car, though the carport has a 1.9-metre height restriction. One well-behaved dog is welcome, subject to breed and the owner's consent. The house is strictly no smoking, and mobile signal can be intermittent, with a landline available for emergencies and local calls.
