Mabel's View

Mabel's View is a single-storey holiday home attached to the owner's house, just outside the village of East Allington and close to Slapton. One step leads up to the entrance, and inside an open-plan living space holds the kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The property sleeps 4 across two double bedrooms and one shower room.

The kitchen has an electric oven, a ceramic hob, a microwave and a fridge/freezer, and the dining table seats the whole party for meals. A Smart TV and WiFi cover evenings in, and electric central heating runs throughout. Both bedrooms are doubles, reached directly from the open-plan living space, and share the single shower room, which has a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC.

Outside, a garden with a picnic bench sits off the patio, though it is not enclosed, and dogs need to stay on a lead because of sheep in the neighbouring field; a separate sheep-proof field can be arranged with the owner for exercising dogs off-lead. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars on site, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included in the rent.

Mabel's View takes two well-behaved pets, and smoking is not permitted. Short breaks run to a minimum of 3 nights, and the shop is 2.6 miles away, with the pub 1.9 miles. The nearby village of East Allington has its own shop and a pub, the Fortescue Arms.
