Higher Norton Barn

Higher Norton Barn is a reverse-level stone barn conversion near the village of East Allington in the South Hams, close to Slapton. The first floor holds an open-plan living space with tall ceilings and exposed wooden beams, and there are a few steps up to the front door. The barn sleeps 4 across two ground-floor bedrooms and one shower room.

Downstairs, choose between a twin bedroom with its own shower cubicle and a double bedroom, both served by the ground-floor shower room. Upstairs, the kitchen, dining area and sitting area share the open-plan first floor, fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a slimline dishwasher.

A Smart TV, Freesat and WiFi cover evenings in, and off-road parking is provided for 2 cars. The front garden has furniture but is not enclosed, and dogs must be kept on a lead outside because of sheep in the neighbouring field, though a separate sheep-proof field can be arranged with the owner for exercising dogs off-lead.

Higher Norton Barn takes two well-behaved dogs, and smoking is not permitted. The shop is 2.6 miles away, the pub 1.9 miles and the beach 4.5 miles, so a car is useful for reaching them.
