Pows Barn

Pows Barn stands within the grounds of the owners' home near High Bickington, close to Umberleigh in North Devon. It sleeps two, with privacy assured for guests. An enclosed, gated gravelled courtyard offers outdoor seating.

Inside, a vaulted ceiling gives the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area a sense of height, helped by a feature light fitting. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob and a fridge with a freezer section, and there's a dining table for meals in. A Smart TV serves the lounge, and a staircase leads up from this space to the galleried double bedroom, which has its own Smart TV/DVD player and room for a travel cot. A ground-floor shower room with shower and WC completes the layout.

Parking is allocated for one car on the drive, and the barn is within walking distance of High Bickington's village centre, where there are two pubs, a shop and a Post Office. The property has internet access throughout.

Booking restrictions apply: children must be over six months old, with babes in arms only otherwise accepted, though a travel cot can be provided on request, and dogs are not permitted. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. As a single-bedroom property sharing grounds with the owners' home, it suits couples seeking a compact, self-contained base rather than larger groups.
