Shepherds Barn

Shepherds Barn is a single-bedroom conversion in the North Devon countryside near High Bickington, just under a mile away with two pubs, a tearoom and a community shop. The property sleeps two guests, making it a suitable base for couples wanting a rural retreat with beaches and attractions within reach, including Saunton Sands (17 miles), Croyde (20 miles) and Woolacombe (22 miles), plus RHS Rosemoor Gardens (10 miles), Dartington Crystal (9 miles) and Libbaton Golf Club (1 mile).

On one side of the barn sits an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge with freezer compartment and a washer/dryer, while the dining table seats two. A sofa faces a Smart TV, and patio doors open onto a private patio, offering a spot for eating outside. Beyond the kitchen area, the bedroom has a king-size bed, its own Smart TV, and an en-suite shower room with WC.

Outside there are two patio areas looking over surrounding fields, and parking is provided for two cars. Wi-Fi is included, though the rural setting means the connection can be intermittent at times.

Two dogs are welcome at Shepherds Barn, with additional charges applying. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00. With one bedroom and one shower room, the barn is arranged for couples rather than larger groups, and there is no separate WC beyond the en-suite. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, and towels are included in the stay.
