Normandy Watch

Normandy Watch sits on Fore Street in the middle of Salcombe, reached through a secure street-level gate and up a flight of stone steps into the duplex. The open-plan sitting and dining room has a wood-burning stove and a large picture window over the harbour, and a terrace balcony to the side of the property looks out over the water, a spot for meals outdoors in summer.

The apartment sleeps 6 across three bedrooms. The master has a king-size bed with estuary views, a second bedroom has another king-size bed, and the twin room looks over Whitestrand with two single beds. A shower room sits on the lower level and a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower is on the top floor, alongside an elegantly modern kitchen/breakfast room and separate utility room.

The kitchen has a four-ring electric hob, integrated double oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and the sitting room has a 43-inch smart TV. Heating is mains gas, and the property is restricted to a maximum of four adults for comfort. Note that the large lounge window is currently single glazed, so there can be some road noise from Fore Street; the supplier has this down for replacement.

Normandy Watch takes one well-behaved dog, with a supplement payable per week, and the location suits couples or families with a dog who want to be in the centre of town, close to the shops, pubs, restaurants and harbour. The property no longer comes with a parking permit, and smoking is not permitted inside.
