Merlin

Merlin is a single-storey cottage in Malborough, a village about 2 miles from Salcombe and 4 miles from Kingsbridge. The whole property is on one level, though there are a few steps to the exterior, and it sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and one bathroom.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and opens onto a living/dining room with an electric fire and a dining table. Electric central heating covers the rest of the cottage, and a Smart TV with WiFi covers quieter evenings in. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor: a king-size room with its own TV and DVD player, and a twin room. A shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC completes the interior.

A terrace at the front holds furniture for outdoor meals, next to a gravelled parking area for two small cars or one large one. Merlin takes one well-behaved pet, and the property is strictly no smoking. The village shop and pub are around 0.6 miles away, and the beach about 1.5 miles.

Malborough itself has a village shop, two pubs and a post office, with Salcombe a short drive away for beaches and coastal walks. The Old Inn serves a daily changing menu and a traditional Sunday lunch, and an Asda is within walking distance for essentials, with larger supermarkets in Kingsbridge.
