Awalek, Cumber Close

Awalek is a single-storey cottage in the village of Malborough, close to the local shop and pub. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, and the whole layout, including the bathroom, sits on one level, with check-in from 4pm and checkout by 10am.

A king-size bedroom and a bunk bedroom share a family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. The living/dining room has a TV and an electric fire for cooler evenings, and the dining table seats the whole group for home-cooked meals.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine, plus a toaster and kettle, and runs on an air source heat pump with solar panels. WiFi covers the cottage, and a travel cot is available for younger guests.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden has a lawned area, a patio and a gravelled section for outdoor games; a gate at the bottom leads onto the main road, so children and pets need supervising there. Roadside parking is first-come, first-served, and the cottage is no smoking throughout. One well-behaved dog is welcome at Awalek for an extra weekly charge, and the shop and pub are both 0.4 miles away, with the beach around 1.6 miles from the cottage.
