Lakenham Lodge

Lakenham Lodge sits just outside Westward Ho! in Northam, built in an upside-down layout with the main living space on the first floor. External stairs lead up to the kitchen/diner, which is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, alongside a second television. From here an inner hallway leads to two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

A further open-sided staircase climbs to the lounge on the top floor, where patio doors open onto a balcony with sea glimpses, a good spot for a quiet drink outside. The third double bedroom is also on this floor, with its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. A separate ground-floor utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, with enough space for beach gear and wetsuits.

The property sleeps six across its three bedrooms, and stairgates are fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs, though parents should note the staircases themselves are open-sided and children need supervising on them. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying. A travel cot and highchair can be provided for younger visitors.

Parking is available on site for two cars, and internet access is provided throughout the lodge. A shop and pub are within easy reach on foot, and the beach at Westward Ho! is a walk away along with Northam Burrows beyond it. Guests booking over the festive period should note the property is decorated for Christmas.
