Honeysuckle Cottage, Welcombe

Honeysuckle Cottage is a converted barn set among rolling fields on the Hartland Heritage Coast, positioned where Devon meets Cornwall near Welcombe. This remote property sleeps two and stands half a mile from the nearest country pub, with Welcombe Mouth Beach 1.5 miles away. The beach features a waterfall, rockpools and surf breaks. The South West Coast Path runs nearby, providing access north to Speke's Mill waterfall (4 miles) and St Catherine's Tor viewpoint (4.5 miles). Hartland Abbey with its gardens and tea room is 5 miles distant. Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore are all within 20 miles.

The ground floor contains an open-plan living space with lounge, kitchen and dining area. Original wooden beams frame slanted ceilings above stone-flagged flooring. Underfloor heating and a wood burner-effect electric fire provide warmth during colder weather. The bespoke kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, slimline dishwasher and washing machine. A TV and radio/CD player sit in the lounge, with TV/DVD in the bedroom.

Upstairs, the double bedroom lies tucked under the eaves with an en-suite bathroom containing a corner bath and separate shower unit. French doors from the ground floor open onto a patio with furniture positioned to take in views across rolling countryside towards the sea. A shop is 1 mile away. Internet access and towels are included in your stay.

Private parking is available on site. No dogs are allowed at the property. Arrival from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. A separate property, Higher Court Lodge, can be booked independently nearby.
