This single-storey house sits near Welcombe, close enough to the village pub to walk there for a drink after a day outdoors. A few steps lead up to the front entrance, though an additional ground-level door can be made available if requested in advance, with a key supplied ahead of the stay.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space forms the sociable core of the house, with vaulted ceilings and a wood burner (first basket of logs included) in the dining area. A separate lounge offers a quieter retreat, fitted with Sky TV and a supply of books and games. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher; a Rayburn also sits in the kitchen as part of the heating system but is not for cooking use.

Three bedrooms at the rear of the house sleep up to six guests in total: a super-king-size room with a versatile zip-and-link bed, a king-size room, and a twin room. These share two recently renovated bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower, bath and WC, the other a shower room with walk-in shower and WC. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors.

Outside, a wraparound terrace with distant sea views is fitted out for outdoor seating and a barbecue, leading onto a lawned garden. The garden is enclosed by a steep bank rather than a conventional fence, so dog owners should keep watch on more adventurous pets, and there's a warm dog shower for washing off muddy paws. Up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying. Private off-road parking is provided for three cars, and an electric vehicle charging point is available on site via the Voltshare app, requiring a valid Stripe payment card.
