Old Sunday School

Old Sunday School is a converted building set over three floors in Welcombe, a quiet village close to the Devon and Cornwall border. It sleeps 4 across two second-floor bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both under sloping ceilings, sharing a second-floor bathroom with a bath and shower over, which has restricted headroom. A separate ground-floor loo with a wash basin sits off the kitchen/diner, so the group has the main bathroom to themselves upstairs.

The ground floor holds the kitchen/diner, fitted with an AGA alongside a separate oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle and toaster. A first-floor sitting room has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, set between the kitchen below and the two bedrooms on the top floor. WiFi and a TV cover downtime, and fuel and power are included in the rent.

Outside, three steps lead up to an enclosed rear lawn, a spot to sit out when the weather allows. Off-road parking is provided at the property, and the cottage is strictly no smoking throughout.

Two well-behaved pets are welcome at Old Sunday School. The pub is less than a mile from the door, and Kilkhampton, the nearest town, is 6.7 miles away. Welcombe itself sits about a mile from the coast and the beach at Welcombe Mouth, making this a straightforward base for a quiet stay near the Devon and Cornwall border.
