Barn View

Barn View is a detached bungalow converted from barns, on a country lane between the hamlet of Welcombe and the South West Coast Path, with Welcombe about half a mile away and the cove beach at Welcombe Mouth the same distance in the other direction. All the accommodation is on one level, and the property sleeps 6, though it is not suitable for more than 5 adults, or for 4 adults and 2 children.

The two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin with a 4ft sofa bed, sit off a sitting room with a dining area and a wood burning stove. The bathroom has a bath, a separate shower, a WC and a basin. The kitchen has a door onto the patio, so meals can move outside on a fine day.

The enclosed garden has a big patio with a table and chairs for eating alfresco, and a meadow beyond it for walking dogs or playing football. The kitchen is fitted with a microwave, fridge-freezer, tumble dryer, washing machine and dishwasher, and the sitting room has a TV with DVD and WiFi. A cot and highchair are available on request, and stays run to a 4-night minimum.

Barn View welcomes four well-behaved dogs, and off-road parking is provided for four cars. The thatched village pub is under a mile away. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and smoking is not permitted.
