Fritillary Cottage

Fritillary Cottage was originally a store barn on a working farm just outside the countryside village of Bradworthy, converted into a one-level home for two with views over the surrounding Devon countryside. Guests can collect fresh eggs from the farm yard during their stay, and the coast of north Cornwall is within easy reach for day trips.

The single king-size bedroom has its own en-suite wet room with shower, basin and WC, and opens onto a modern, open-plan living area combining the kitchen, dining space and sitting room. The kitchen has a glossy finish with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, giving plenty of room to cook a proper meal.

A Smart TV, iPod docking speaker and WiFi cover evenings in, though the signal can be intermittent given the property's rural position. Underfloor heating keeps the cottage warm throughout, with fuel and power included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels. A cot and highchair are available for visiting family. There is no electric vehicle charge point on site, and charging from within the property isn't permitted.

Outside, a lawned garden has furniture and a barbecue, a sunny spot for meals outdoors or a morning coffee looking over the fields. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars. No pets are permitted and smoking is not allowed, and a returnable housekeeping bond applies to the booking. Bradworthy's shops and traditional country pub are less than a mile away.
