End Cottage

End Cottage is a Grade II-listed, semi-detached thatched cottage in Malborough, next door to Rose Thatch. It sleeps 3, with an additional child's bed suitable for a child under 5, and is reached by steep, winding stairs with low beams and internal steps throughout.

The kitchen and a living/dining room with a woodburning stove and starter pack sit on the ground floor, along with a bathroom that has a bath, shower over, basin, underfloor heating and WC. Electric heating runs throughout, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. A TV with Firestick and WiFi, shared with Rose Thatch next door, cover evenings in.

Upstairs, the king-size bedroom has its own en-suite cloakroom with a basin and WC. The second bedroom holds a single bed plus the additional child's bed, which measures 5 foot by 2 foot 6. Swift holes are built into the eaves under the thatch, and guests may hear the birds nesting overhead between May and July.

A separate private garden with a lawn, terrace, furniture and a barbecue sits about 30 yards away along a grass path, with rural views. Off-road parking for one car is reached via a narrow lane and a 2-metre gateway, with further parking on nearby roads and in the free village car park a couple of minutes' walk away.

No pets are allowed and the cottage is strictly no smoking. The shop and pub are both about 0.1 miles away, and the beach is 2 miles, with Salcombe's beaches and Kingsbridge's shops a short drive further on.
