Cool Stone Cottage

Cool Stone Cottage sits a short walk from the sandy beach in Instow, on North Devon's coast, with the village shops, pubs and restaurants around five minutes on foot. The cottage sleeps 6 over two floors.

Upstairs are three bedrooms: a king-size room, a twin that can be made into a super king zip-and-link on request, and a double, with two of the rooms looking out across the estuary. Two bathrooms serve the floor, one with a bath and shower over, the other a separate shower room.

Downstairs, the kitchen and dining area are open-plan, with a further sitting room and a utility area. The kitchen has an electric oven with a gas hob, a microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and washing machine, plus a TV with DVD player and WiFi. Gas central heating covers the cottage, and an enclosed rear patio has seating and storage space, reached through a gated entrance. A further level of the cottage is presently closed off.

Cot and highchair are available on request, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. Parking is on the road outside, allocated on a first come, first served basis. Smoking is not permitted.

Instow itself has a sandy beach, cafes and pub-restaurants, with the market towns of Bideford and Barnstaple within easy driving distance for a wider choice of shops and evening entertainment. The cottage makes a base for exploring the wider North Devon coast, including the beaches at Westward Ho!, Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, all reachable by car. Building works at the property next door are expected to finish soon.
