Cliffden Hotel

Cliffden Hotel sits on Dawlish Road in Teignmouth, about a 200-yard walk from the town's Blue Flag beach. It is one of the larger hotels in the town, with 47 bedrooms across its main building and later extensions.

Seven acres of landscaped gardens surround the hotel, with free on-site parking for guests arriving by car and a 24-hour reception desk. A restaurant, bar and games room sit inside, and rooms come with tea and coffee facilities as standard.

Teignmouth's pier, promenade and lido sit a short walk from the hotel, along with the town's shops and cafes on the flat streets near the seafront. The train station is about a ten-minute walk away for day trips along the coast to Dawlish and Exeter, and the hotel holds Green Key certification for its environmental practice.

**Best for:** Families wanting a large hotel within walking distance of the beach, pier and station, with grounds for children to run in.

**Less good for:** Guests who want a boutique or adults-only stay - this is Teignmouth's largest hotel, built for groups and families rather than a quiet retreat.
