Chantry

Chantry is a stone-built farmhouse a mile from Aveton Gifford, part of a group of converted farm buildings reached down a tree-lined track off a lane. A utility room and cloakroom sit on the ground floor, and the kitchen/diner combines a large dining table with a stone fireplace housing a wood-fired Esse range cooker.

The sitting room has a woodburning stove and book cases alongside the sofas, and the house sleeps 6 across three bedrooms. Two king-size bedrooms and a super king-size room with an en-suite walk-in shower, basin, bidet and WC are each served by a bathroom, one of them a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, alongside the wood-fired range, a coffee maker and a selection of books, with a Smart TV and WiFi. A highchair and travel cot are available on request, and a stairgate is fitted at the top of the stairs.

Outside, the house has its own non-enclosed garden with a lawn and furniture, and shares a large, enclosed courtyard with the neighbouring cottages. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars, one well-behaved pet is welcome, and the property is no smoking. The shop is 1.2 miles away and the pub 1.4 miles.
