Carthorse Cottage

Carthorse Cottage is a barn conversion on the owner's working cattle and sheep farm just outside the village of Luton, about a mile from the centre, with the beaches of Teignmouth and Shaldon within reach. The cottage sleeps 10 across five bedrooms.

One double bedroom and a wet room with a shower are on the ground floor. Upstairs are two further doubles with en-suite bathrooms and hand-held showers, plus two twin rooms sharing two shower rooms, five bathrooms in total. The sitting room has a woodburning stove and patio doors onto the decking, and there is a separate games room with a pool table.

A private indoor heated swimming pool measures 6 metres by 4 metres and 1.2 metres deep. The kitchen diner has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, plus a washer/dryer, and there is a BBQ outside. Underfloor heating warms the games room, alongside the cottage's central heating. Stairgate, highchair and travel cot are available on request.

Off-road parking is provided for 6 cars, and the garden has furniture and a woodland play area. The farm has a stream and unfenced ponds, so children need supervising outside. Bookings run to a minimum of 3 nights outside school summer holidays, half term and Easter, when a full week is required. No pets are allowed and the property is strictly no smoking.
