Bumblebee Cottage is a 19th-century stone cottage on Shadycombe Road, in a quiet residential part of Salcombe a few minutes' walk from Batson Creek and the town's boutiques and waterfront. The property is suitable for a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children, and the ground floor opens straight into a long sitting room and kitchen-diner beyond.

The sitting area is arranged around a stone fireplace, which is a decorative feature, with two sofas and a leather chair. The kitchen-diner has a 4-ring gas hob, electric oven, under-counter fridge, washer-dryer and microwave, plus a dining table with six chairs, two of them folding, and a mini freezer tucked under the stairs.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room, with a glimpse of Batson Creek, and there is a second double bedroom on the same floor. A second shower room serves both, and a twin bedroom with 3-foot single beds and a stairgate sits up in the attic, suitable for children only, with its own peek of the creek.

Outside, a paved terrace at the rear has a table, chairs and a barbecue, reached through a rear passageway from the kitchen. Full gas central heating covers the cottage, and there's a TV and DVD player for evenings in, plus bed linen supplied throughout. Bumblebee Cottage does not take pets, and the property is strictly no smoking throughout.
